One of the latest Facebook scams claims that rapper T.I.(or TIP) is “rewarding one of his fans with his G.M.C. truck.” However, this is NOT TRUE. The TIP Facebook page is fake and you will not be given a chance to win anything, including T.I.’s GMC truck.
The fake TIP Facebook has published posts for quite some time in attempt to look like a legitimate T.I. Facebook page. Some posts say random quotes such as “God always has a relief for every sorrow and a plan for every tomorrow,” some posts contain random images of T.I., and some posts promote third-party content and websites.
One of the most troubling posts on the fake TIP Facebook page is one that says “I Will Be Rewarding 1 Of My Fans With My G.M.C Truck” and “My Word Is Valuable All You Gotta Do Is SHARE This Post ) ..Timing Starts Now. I’m Watching.” The posts also contains an image of rapper T.I. with a black GMC truck.
These types of Facebook scams are very common. They are usually associated with like-farming: Like farming is when a desperate or fake Facebook page publishes deceptive content in order to obtain more likes. However, as more and more people are easily duped by these types of scams it allows the scammers to be a serious threat to your privacy.
Advanced payment fraud and other types of scams are also associated with these types of dubious Facebook giveaway posts. Once a scammer finds a victim they will message the victim stating that they won and that they need to send a payment (for shipping or other) in order to obtain the prize. If the alleged winner sends the faux payment they will not receive the prize and will only be left with a hole in their wallet.

Yes I was actually message today about that. You know what really got me is when they asked me for money but you supposed to be giving me money so I basically told that person how I feel and told them that recently I just lost my son he was shot and killed 7 months ago and they should be a ashamed of themselves for trying to take away some money from somebody that’s already struggling and so they went ahead and deleted me. I am a single mother of 4 with 2 grand kids and for them to have the audacity to ask me for money when I just lost my son with they probably saw that on Facebook and try to take advantage of me and that is so sad for them to do that to me when I’m already in a bad state of mind. And I basically told them that I hope God have mercy on theyvsouls for doing people that way
I just got messaged today saying that I won $500,000 and a BMW. They wanted me to sent them $99.99 threw Walmart. I think we should be able to sue the scammers for getting our hopes up. They need to sit there asses in jail give there kids a big hug and kiss and tell those kids that there big P.O.S and maybe they will think about scamming ot the next person.
