How to remove the Awesomehp virus (Redirect Removal)

Awesomehp virus (awesomehp.com)

The Awesomehp virus (also found as the Awesomehp.com virus, Awesomehp Search Engine, Awesomehp.com redirect virus, and other terms; though not technically a virus) is potential malware categorized as a browser hijacker and adware, and spyware that may install to a Microsoft Windows computer and attache to Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome as a browser add-on, browser helper object (BHO), and extension without user consent.

Awesomehp virus

The Awesomehp.com add-on and extension or third-party item for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer possibly titled “Awesomehp Toolbar” changes internet browser settings including the home page (start page) and internal search engine (default, managed, and provided search engines). This causes internet browsers to redirect to http://www.awesomehp.com/ and start-up on the Awesomehp search engine when users open a new window or tab. Please note that this infection may not need to install actual software to change browser homepages and search engines.

Once Awesomehp malware is installed the potential malware will begin to replace existing internet browser settings, install additional software, and collect sensitive user information; including data manually submitted online such as your name, home address, telephone number, email address, browser activity and history, and more.

Third-party reports suggest that if software that causes your internet browser to redirect to awesomehp.com is installed on your computer system and attached to your internet browser you are at higher risk of cyber crimes including credit theft, extortion, and identity theft.
