PastaQuotes virus

PastaQuotes virus (also found as PastaQuotes Shopper by PastaLeads virus) is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) published by PastaLeads in the adware category of computer infections. PastaQuotes serves targeted advertisements on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Internet Explorer by utilizing browser helper objects (BHOs) that install to a Windows Operating System and attaches to affected Internet Browsers as add-ons and extensions.

Once PastaQuotes malware installs to a machine running the Windows Operating System, the program will begin to observe the user’s internet behavior and will gather this information in order to generate a wide variety of pop-up advertisements.

This information (as previously stated) is used to display targeted (tailor-made) advertisements; However, many users complain of unwanted email spam, junk mail, and unwarranted phone calls at home, which leads security experts to believe that these types of programs will distribute user information to third-party contractors.

This program may cause affected Internet Browsers to become slow and sluggish, especially while initial page load is in progress.

CCleaner by Piriform

CCleaner can be used to automatically repair internet browser settings startup up settings, and uninstall PastaQuotes adware and associated third-party software.

1. Install the free or paid version of CCleaner by Piriform.
