Loophole Allows Anyone To Hack Your Skype Account With Just Your Email Address

Skype Email Flaw
There’s a new flaw first reported 2 months ago in a Russian forum concerning your Skype account’s safety. To exploit this flaw, all the criminal would need to know is the victim’s email address tied to their Skype account.

What to do to protect yourself

  • Change your email address to one that nobody knows or could easily guess.
  • Make backups of your Skype contacts and removing any that can be used by cyber criminals if necessary.
  • Create a secondary Skype account.

Microsoft will most likely get around to fixing the Skype flaw before matters get worse.
