Enable Android Dark Mode (One UI 2 with Android 10)

On June 28th, 2021 an update for Android and Samsung users was released, and with it came new exciting features including Dark mode that darkens wallpapers, widgets, alarms, and other apps like Google Docs. It’s a really cool update and if you are a fan of dark modes on other apps like YouTube then you will love the version of dark mode released in this update for Android 10.

These are instructions to enable and disable dark mode on Android devices. Specifically, One UI 2 with Android 10 Samsung devices.

Go to Settings and tap Display.

Select Dark in Dark mode settings. Dark mode will be enabled within a few seconds.

To change back to Android dark mode repeat the same steps but select Light.

Tips

If you cannot find Settings on your device, swipe up to view all apps, and use the search bar to search for “settings.”

The One UI 2 with Android 10 update is required to obtain the dark mode feature.
