How to remove Your Optimizer (Removal Guide)
Your Optimizer by Elektro Kod (or other publisher) is a driver updating program for the Windows operating system that claims to optimize your computer by repairing damage registry entries and removing junk files.
The program is often distributed by alleged third-parties who possibly utilize deceptive and misleading advertisements. Some advertisements that promote this program will claim that the program is a “Flash Player update” that is required or recommended. Alleged third-party Your Optimizer advertisements are commonly found on media related websites such as video streaming websites and torrenting websites, as well as others. The program may also be offered as a bundle or custom install alongside third-party programs including adware, potentially unwanted programs, and malware.
This program was introduced to our machine through a series of very misleading advertisements. The initial advertisement claimed to be a “Watch Now” button on a streaming video. When the button was clicked a new page opened which then claimed a flash player update was recommended. The webpage then promoted the your_optimizer_setup.exe file to download on our machine.
Some advertisements may confuse internet users by claiming that the program is free. However, the program is only free to download. A user must register and pay semi-annually for the program to actually use it.
When this program was installed via an alleged third-party software bundler various threats were introduced to the test machine which were detected by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software including the file used to execute the installation which is shown as the first file detected in the image above.
