The message in full reads:
REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE FIFTH OF NOVEMBER, THE GUNPOWDER TREASON AND PLOT. I KNOW OF NO REASON WHY THE GUNPOWDER TREASON SHOULD EVER BE FORGOT. Message References

In the beginning of the message, the hackers made a reference to November 5th, Guy Fawkes Day. For those who don’t know, Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up parliament on November 5th 1605. Anonymous has previously sworn to attack Facebook on Guy Fawkes day, November 5th, 2012.

“419 is just a game” is a reference to Nigerian spam email/phishing.

Conclusion

For what we know, NBC was hacked for exposure. No malicious attacks or information has been initiated or released by the hackers. Even though the threat of leaking passwords and usernames is present, it is not very clear whose personal data would be released, nor for what purpose.
