What is Media Player Classic?

Media Player Classic (also known as Media Player Classic – Home Cinema v.1.5.2.3456 by MPC-HC Team) is adware that gets onto a computer alongside other items and displays various targeted advertisements while users are browsing the internet. This potentially unwanted program (PUP) can get onto a computer system alongside affiliated programs that attach to popular internet browsers as browser helper objects, add-ons, and extensions used to gather user browsing data and introduce users to targeted advertisements relevant to their browsing habits.

1. Install the free or paid version of CCleaner by Piriform.

2. Once installed, open the program and navigate to Cleaner > Windows/Applications and click the Analyze button. Afterwards, click the Run Cleaner button on the bottom right of the program interface.

3. Next, navigate to Tools > Startup and search through each tab starting from windows, internet explorer, etc., all the way to Content Menu, for additional suspicious entries and click Disable and Delete once anything is found.

How to uninstall Media Player Classic
