Once Optimize-App.com malware is installed, it will begin to replace existing internet browser settings and displays unwanted pop-up advertisements, in-text ads, banner ads, and drop-down coupons ads on popular online retail websites including walmart.com, ebay, and others. However, unlike most adware platforms, Optimize-App.com essentially displays fraudulent pop-up alert messages that say “The page at optimize-app.com says: Congratulations!!! You are today’s lucky visitor, eligible to receive an Apple Product” in order to trick web users into visiting a malicious website or never-ending survey scam.

The advertisements may drop down from the top right of the open internet browser window in a blue drop-down list that contains links to coupons. Once clicked a coupon may be applied to the visited webpage.
