Absolute Reminder by Absolute Software (also found as the Absolute Reminder virus, Absolute Reminder malware, Absolute virus, Absolute Data Recovery, Absolute Lo Jack; though not an actual computer virus) is a legitimate and safe program that usually comes pre-installed on a variety of computers running both Macintosh (Mac OS X) and Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Absolute Reminder has partnerships with many computer manufactures and is included in pre-installed firmware on such computers.

Absolute Software partners include Acer, Apple, ASUS, DELL, Fujitsu, GammaTech, Gateway, General Dynamaics Itronix, Getac, HP, Lenovo, Mobile Demand, Motion, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, and Xplore Technologies. This means that if you own a computer manufactured by one of these companies, Absolute Reminder and other Absolute Software titles may be present on your computer from the factory.

Absolute Reminder is security software that will survive operating system re-installations, hard drive re-formats, and even hard drive replacements and once activated, Absolute Reminder customers can track, manage, and protect all of their computers (and computer data) from hackers, other breaches, and other encroachments of civil liberties.
