How to take a screenshot on Android devices

There are two feasible ways to take a screenshot on an Android device. Included on this webpage are instructions on how to take a screenshot on Android devices. These screenshot instructions can be used across multiple Android smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, Note, and others.

Android screenshot (Version 1)

This version of taking a screenshot on an Android device is the most popular. It is more common in newer devices.

1. Open the screen on your Android device that you want to capture.

2. Press and hold the power button and home button at the same time until the border around the screen flashes. The captured image will be saved to your phone.

3. To acquire your Android screenshot navigate to your gallery. There is commonly a new folder created called “Screenshots” after the first screenshot has been captured but this may not be apparent if navigating to the general gallery.
