What Is The GBoxApp.com GadgetBox Search Virus (Gboxapp Malware)?
GadgetBox (search.gboxapp.com, gboxapp.com, Gadget Box, Gboxapp) is allegedly adware and spyware categorized as a browser hijacker and is distributed and published as freeware by WEB PICK – INTERNET HOLDINGS LTD. Gboxapp is also referred to as the Gboxapp virus or Gboxapp malware. Gadget Box installs directly onto your internet browser and computer. GadgetBox may also bundle with third-party malware applications which can multiply the affects of malformed internet browser settings. A GadgetBox “infection” installs browser helper objects (managed search provider, toolbar) and attachments to infected internet browsers and causes website searches and URLs inputted into the address bar to redirect to http://search.gboxapp.com/. This is why GadgetBox is also referred to as a redirection virus by a variety of sources including AVGThreatLabs.
Browser hijackers in general are very dangerous and can leave a backdoor for other malware and virus infections. GadgetBox malware is similar to other browser hijackers distributed as freeware such as MP3 Tube Toolbar and Browser Seek Toolbar. How To Remove GboxApp Malware
There are a few different solutions to safely remove GadgetBox malware from your computer and internet browser. Once removal is succesful, if necessary continue to repair internet browser settings such as default search engine settings and homepage (startup page) settings.

1. Antivirus/Anti-Malware Software
The safest program to remove hijacker malware is Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes has the largest sample rate of malware due to being the top downloaded Anti-Malware application for the past 2 years. Malwarebytes also offers free and paid versions.
2. Manual Removal
Uninstall the GadgetBox malware program from your computer. If your internet browser settings have been compromised, once you have uninstalled GadgetBox continue to remove the GadgetBox Toolbar add-on and extension, as well as your internet browsers default search engine, and home page settings.
First, Uninstall Gadgetbox. There are 3 separate options to uninstall GadgetBox malware from your computer.
1. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program
2. Right click GadgetBox and click Uninstall/Change.

How To Repair Internet Browser Settings (Optional)
