Advertise.ru is a blackhat advertising network that offers referral spam packages to desperate websites.

Advertise.ru (also known as Okout.ru) is a Russian advertising network that is quite a nuisance. The adverting network offers a referral advertising (referrer spam) program for websites who want to spam their content around the web. If you are spammed by the Russian ad network you will notice unusual amounts of referral traffic in your Google Analytics reports from paths like: okout.ru/a00af605. Referrer spam is a blackhat marketing tactic that allows an entity to target Google Analytics accounts around the world with deceptive referral traffic. The spammer will make it appear as if visitors were referred to your website from a third-party domain name even though no one actually stepped foot on your server. In some cases, referrer spammers use bots and crawlers; However that does not seem to be the case here.
