WanaCry ransomware encrypts files, changes the file extensions to .wncry, and demands a ransom to decrypt the files.

WanaCry ransomware uses NSA’s EternalBlue exploit and drops NSA’s DoublePulsar malware to infect computers that use versions of the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
