How To Remove Analyze URL: Virus Removal Guide
Analyze URL blocks content from being viewed on any webpage and reads and changes personal user data. To make matters worse, it’s advertised by malicious networks and bundles with malware.
Analyze URL is a browser extension compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge that is offered by bakkilermashmnoer098, analyzeurl.net, or another party. The browser extension is promoted as “a free addon that allows you to learn everything there is to know about SEO metrics for any domain.” The party behind the browser extension claims that it is especially handy if the user has their own website and wants to monitor their SEO.
When the Analyze URL extension is installed, right-click on any website, click Analyze URL, and a new browser tab will open on similarweb.com with a report for the website. This would be great if Analyze URL was published by a legitimate source such as similarweb.com themselves, which happens to be a real SEO service, but it’s not. The extension is offered in the Chrome web store by someone named bakkilermashmnoer098 who is untraceable online with no searchable data online. This is likely due to the fact that the party may want to remain anonymous due to their online activities.
In addition, hyperlinks to an alleged end-user license agreement and privacy policy listed on the extension’s Chrome web store page are incomplete and incoherent; consisting of grammatical errors and little punctuation if any.
