BlockAndSurf (also known as Ads by BlockAndSurf, Block-n-Surf, or Block And Surf) is a high risk Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) categorized as adware, a browser hijacker, and spyware that primarily installs to a Microsoft Windows Operating System and attaches to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Internet Explorer as a browser add-on, browser helper object (BHO), and/or extension with or without user consent in order to serve targeted advertisements and cause other issues.

Once BlockAndSurf malware is installed, the adware program will being to collect user information, such as your browsing activity, history, and manually submitted information. It will use this information to a variety of different advertisements. Some advertisements are pop-under ads take up an entire browser window or browser tab. This adware program primarily bundles with third-party freeware and shareware distributed by websites such as download.com and can also be found in adverts, torrents, and other items on media related websites like thepiratebay.

3. Once Malwarebytes is installed, run the program and update the database if needed.

4. On the Dashboard click the large green Scan Now button.

5. Once the malware scan is complete, Malwarebytes may prompt a notice stating malicious objects were detected. Select the malicious objects and click the Remove Selected button to completely remove the malicious files from your computer.

CCleaner

CCleaner can be used to automatically repair internet browser settings startup up settings, and uninstall BlockAndSurf adware and associated third-party software.

1. Install the free or paid version of CCleaner by Piriform.
