RedPlum junk mail comes to your door in 2 different forms. There is a RedPlum mail package that sends magazines and coupons to your door and a generic RedPlum coupon book package. Mail from this service can be obnoxious and some people complain that it is even hazardous to the Earth. After all, a majority of recipients who have received junk mail from RedPlum primarily toss the coupons into the trash.
Coupons expire, and once a coupon expires some people feel that they are left with a meaningless pieces of paper. Therefore, to many RedPlum is consciously wasting Earth’s natural resources.
Whatever the reason you have to remove yourself from the RedPlum mailing list, it is probably a valuable one.
To remove yourself from the RedPlum mailing list in order to stop receiving junk mail from RedPlum please follow 1 of the 2 options (or both) listed below.
- Removing your address can take 5-6 weeks. RedPlum claims their packages are printed and addressed 5-6 weeks in advance of the mailing date; However they are not yet mailed, so you should be able to get them to comply with your removal request.
Email RedPlum
Email RedPlum at wecare@redplum.com. Provide them with your home address, demand that they stop sending mail to your address, and let them know they can not use your information without your expressed written consent.
An example email would be:
I demand that you immediately stop sending mail to my address listed below. You do not have permission to send messages to my email address or use my information without my expressed written consent.

You can even take it a step further and let them know you want to be removed sooner than 5-6 weeks. Some users even threaten a complaint in federal court for harassment if the company does not comply with the removal request.

1. Visit the offocial website’s postal add/remove page at https://www.redplum.com/tools/redplum-postal-addremove.html and let them know you no longer wish to receive the direct mail package.
2. RedPlum will ask for your full name, street address, state, and zip code. Avoid from leaving your telephone number and email address.
3. At the bottom of the page under the Accept Agreement drop-down list select NO and click the SUBMIT REQUEST button.

Note: Red Plum is now paying USPS to deliver to all locations within a zip-code. No addresses on the mailers and no way to opt out.
If you select “NO” to accepting their little agreement, they’re gonna not process your request and say that you need to first agree to their thing. It’s nothing bad, in fact as of 06/05/2018 the text is: “I understand Valassis will make every effort to remove my residential address from its RetailMeNot Everyday mailings, provided Valassis can match my address to their internal database. This removal will become fully effective after 5 to 6 weeks.” Nothing bad there, dumbass.
Counter the experience of “Anonymous”, I was able to stop RedPlum delivery to two addresses in different states. I used the web “RedPlum Direct Mail Preferences” page at redplum dot com. It did take 5-6 weeks as stated, before it stopped. That was in April 2015, and the only deliveries since have been postal carrier mistakes.
Sometimes when a new mail carrier takes over a route they do not pay attention to the addresses on these things because “everybody get them”. It just takes a call to the post office to straighten that out (until the next time).
My experience is that you CAN’T stop it. They’ll tell you they’ll stop but it doesn’t stop.
I just got to pick my vehicle registration renewal out of a puddle because my weekly RedPlum garbage dump fell apart as I pulled it out of the mailbox. (and dumped the rest of my mail in the ditch)
I’m kinda at wit’s end — I REALLY don’t want this crap but there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop it.
why do you have to select “no” and not “yes”
Yeah, that makes absolutely NO sense, lol.
We get this at our business with no address listed, so I can’t fill out the online removal tool. Do I need to contact the postal service?
