Toparcade Hits virus
The Toparcade Hits virus (also referred to as the Toparcadehits or Top Arcade Hits virus) is a potentially unwanted program and malware categorized as adware and browser hijacker, that often installs to computer systems without consent and alongside additional programs.
Toparcade Hits malware changes internet browser settings, including the home page and default search engine; causing unwanted browser redirections and start ups, as well as assists in displaying unwanted advertisements and collecting information alongside third-party software, which may be used to include users to marketing list without direct consent. Victims of Toparcade Hits often claim that Toparcade Hits installed to their computer alongside other bloatware or malware such as adware and spyware without consent. 2. Install the free or paid version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
3. Once Malwarebytes is installed, run the program. If you are using the free version of Malwarebytes you will be prompted to update the database, make sure to do so.
4. On the first tab labeled “Scanner” select the Perform full scan option and click the Scan button to perform a full system scan. Malwarebytes will automatically detect malware infecting the computer system.
5. Once the malware scan is complete, Malwarebytes may prompt a notice stating malicious objects were detected including Toparcadehits, etc. Select the malicious objects and click the Remove Selected button to completely remove the malicious files from your computer (the image below shows a file that is NOT selected) or click the Delete button to remove quarantined files.
CCleaner
CCleaner can be used to automatically repair internet browser settings startup up settings, and uninstall stubborn Toparcadehits software. You can even use CCleaner to remove ransomware, but that does not apply here.
1. Install the free or paid version of CCleaner by Piriform.

When I try to uninstall toparcadehits from control panel, it asks permission to make changes to my computer and I say no because sounds like a trap..is it? Also when I try to uninstall from folder, it says I need to use “administrative privileges” to uninstall, but I feel like it’s a trap if I opt to do that where they can then have control of some things on my computer..right?

On my system if you go Tools/Addons/Extensions in Firefox you can disable TopArcadeHits but there is no “Remove” button.
That is because you have to uninstall the software before you can remove the browser helper object.
