What is iMesh (iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net)?

iMesh (Group: iMesh Inc, iMesh.net) is a P2P client (peer to peer) specializing in DRM music and short video downloads, especially “swarming” downloads. iMesh is similar to Napster, but  iMesh, iMesh box, WinCore media toolbar, and other associated products may install adware and spyware platforms alongside and/or bundled with iMesh downloads (including the iMesh media player). iMesh is also malware as described below and is considered a danger to user privacy and computer functionality. Remove iMesh to protect your personal information and computer functionality immediately.

Is iMesh safe (iMesh.net)?

No, despite all the claims made by iMesh Inc. and associated groups iMesh and iMesh downloads are not safe to use. Though their tactics may be legal due to their extensive following, terms, and policy, in actualytiy when using iMesh products with or without consent you are putting your private information and computer functionality at high risk.

How to completely remove iMesh

If you voluntarily installed iMesh, you may only need to uninstall the P2P client using Window’s Uninstaller.

If iMesh infected your system without your consent you may need to search for third party malware on your system.

If your internet browser settings have been affected by iMesh, uninstall the software and repair your internet browser settings.

1. Uninstall Software

1. Open Window’s Start Menu and select Control Panel

2. Select “Uninstall a program” or “Add and remove programs”

3. Find iMesh and any suspicious titles in the list of installed programs and uninstall them by double clicking the title or highlighting the title and clicking Uninstall.

4. An iMesh Uninstall screen “iMesh Uninstall – InstallAware Wizard” will pop up before you can uninstall iMesh. Select a reason why you are uninstalling iMesh and click continue.

After uninstalling iMesh search for any left-over files and folders on your computer system and delete them, including the executable file used to install and setup iMesh. You can search for iMesh files and folders by typing iMesh into the search bar on Window’s Start Menu and by navigating to your music folder and removing the iMesh folder.

1. Click Tools > Add-ons (Ctrl+Shift+A)

2. Under “Plugins” Search for iMesh add-ons such as WinCore Toolbar, Qbyrd Toolbar, and others. Disable and remove them. You may also search for iMesh add-ons under “Extensions”.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

1. Click Tools > Manage add-ons

2. Under “Toolbars and Extensions” Search for iMesh add-ons such as WinCore Toolbar, Qbyrd Toolbar, and others. Highlight, disable and remove them.

1. Click the 3 bar options icon or wrench icon and click Settings.

2. Under the “On start up” section click the Set pages link.

3. Remove iMesh.net websites and any suspicious website by clickcing the X.

1. Click the Firefox Tools menu and select Options.

2. In the General tab where it says “Home page” in the Start Up section remove iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net, Search-Results.com, or similar URLs and type your preferred webpage (google.com, bing.com, botcrawl.com).

1. Click Tools and select Internet Options.

2. In the “Home Page” query remove iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net, Search-Results.com, or similar URLs and type your preferred home page (google.com, bing.com, botcrawl.com) or select default or blank.

4. How to remove iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net, etc. from your home page

Google Chrome

1. Click the 3 bar or wrench settings icon and select Settings.

2. In the Search section select the Manage search engines… button.

3. Remove the  iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net, Search-Results.com, or related search engines by selecting the X next to the URL upon clicking on and highlighting the website(s).

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the small search arrow or magnify glass near the search bar at the top of the internet browser.

2. Select Manage search engines…

3. Highlight iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net, Search-Results.com, or related search engines and click remove.

1. Click Tools and select Manage add-ons.

2. Navigate to the Search Providers list.

3. Search for iMesh.net, Search.iMesh.net, Search-Results.com, or related search engines and click the Remove button (at least disable).
