I am using the gboxapp toolbar more than 2 month without any problem. but my elder brother who is a computer engineer told me it is so harmful to a computer. But I need to know what is the reality. Is the gboxapp toolbar helpful or, harmful?

GBoxToolbar is not a virus, but is privacy invading software that should be renowned as malware.

GBoxApp and other BHOs labeled browser hijackers can invade the privacy of a computer system without permission, or with permission, just not clear direction of the intent of their actions (entrapment).

Ultimately such tools can collect information from the computer which may include personal information or browser data such as history.

GBoxApp may also bundle with third party privacy invading malware, or open a backdoor/allow sponsored third parties to infect the computer in question in order to generate unethical revenue.

I hope this clears a few things up, Sean.
